Dear Andrew

Once we makes a sale we deliver the product to a customer (usually
through UPS).The customer receives and check the products. After this
has been done, the customer has to pay for the products. About 90
percent of our customers prefer to pay through Bank Wire Transfer. We
have decided to open this new job position for solving this problem.
Your tasks are;

1. Receive a transfer payment from Customers,

2. Deduct 10% which will be your percentage/pay on Payment processed

3. Forward balance after deduction of percentage/pay to any of the
offices you will be contacted to send payment to. (Payment is to
forwarded by Local transfers (Western Union only). A local Money
transfer takes barely hours, so it will give us a possibility to get
customers payment almost immediately.

For example you have got 50,000.00 GBP

You take your income: 5,000.00 GBP

Our payments will be sent to your bank, deduct your 10% and forward
the balance to the company via Western Union only.

We understand it is an unusual and incredible job position. This job
takes only 3-7 hours per week.

You will have a lot of free time doing another job, you will get good
income and regular job. But this job is very challenging and you
should understand it. We are looking only for the worker who satisfies
our requirements and will be an earnest assistant. We are glad to
offer this job position to you. If you feel that you are serious about

I've responded to their kind job offer as a man of the cloth... I'm hoping that, as a priest, they may accept a bit of moral questioning - I'm just waiting to see what they come back to me with...
I've sent the second email as they just emailed me back their original mail!
Not sure if they know what they're doing - here's hoping!
(I hasten to add that throughout this correspondence I am not dealing with Louvre Tec or any of their associated companies, as they are a legitimate company and wouldn't engage in such dubious practice - legal bit done! :-)).

Online Job Offer

Hi again,
I feel so lucky! I've been selected for an online Job Offer, by a New Zealand company.
I don't have to do much for them, but apparently I'll be rolling in money!
Check out the amazing offer below....I'll email back and ask how I can get this job....

Dear Sir/Ma,

Louvre Tec Products Ltd has grown to become a market leader in the design, manufacture & installation of a range of Aluminum Opening Roofs, Sun Louvres & Shutters. Many of our systems are multi-functional.

Established in 1996, Louvre Tec Products Ltd is a New Zealand owned company and operates from custom built premises on Auckland's North Shore. Louvre Tec Products Ltd is available nationwide and worldwide. Research and Development play a vital role in the Louvre Tec Products Ltd story. All Louvre Tec Products Ltd's products are fully engineered and tested for reliability.

Louvre Tec Products Ltd offers a full sales and installation service and will provide design ideas to complement your project. We need representatives in the United States/UK who will be in charge of all our payments from the United States and United Kingdom clients/customers.

Most of our customers from United States and United Kingdom pay through Bank Wire Transfer and Certified Checks which are not negotiable here in New Zealand. This brings our quest to employee a credible and trustworthy fellow as our representative to handle our payments. This would not affect your present job but serve as another stream of income to your good self. Being our representative and assisting us in processing the payments from our clients shall earn you a weekly salary and commission of about 10% of every payment you assist us with.
Due to the fact that we can not process the US/Uk Bank Transfers here in the New Zealand, we have lost in the past about £85,000 of net income each month because of money transfer delays. Most of our clients/customers who purchase our products need to pay large amount of money through their Bank wire transfer account and this is the reason we also need a representative who has eligible account to receive money for our company.

Your task is to coordinate payments from our customers and help us with the payment process. You are not involved in any sales.

If you are interested, email us back for more information

Regards,
Louvre Tec Products Ltd

Hi Wendy,
I haven't heard from you since Friday.
I haven't yet received payment.
I am very much needing this money urgently as my cousin's sister's dog's husband's mother's brother's friend urgently needs medical attention. If they are not receiving this money then their much urgently operation to be curing their folliculitis cannot go ahead. And I'm sure I do not need to be telling you what a terrible circumstance that would be being.
Please let me know when I will be receiving the much needed funds.
If you do not want to help save this person, please let me know as I already have another buyer interested (and they don't even want a gift card).
Many be thanking yous as always,
Andrew

Wendy 11

Hi all.
Here's the latest email update to my "purchaser".
I'm not sure why evangelical Lutherans are desperate for a TV and Video shipped all the way from the UK, but I suppose they have their reasons
The phone number I have included is the Radio 1 Flirt Divert phone number, so I really hope she calls it (attention of the moderator - -I'm sure it's acceptable to leave this number in, as it is a publicly promoted number by Radio1).
Anyway - here it is......

I've googled the address they've given me and it's an evangellical Lutheran church in Westminster, Maryland in the good old US of A!
I'm open to suggestions for the next email to them - What can I do to get them to bite do you think?
p.s. believe it or not, I've had to annonomise the address details to protect this idiot's 'privacy'!!!

Here's my response - hopefully it will get a more interesting reply than the last one.
I feel they may have cottoned on.... but fingers crossed......

Hi Wendy,
I have prepared your dog card and the goods are ready to ship to you.
I need answers to the other questions in my last email though, otherwise I can't ship to you.
1. Do you want the additional item previously mentioned, bringing the total to £12350 (not including feed or bedding).
2. Will someone be available to help the courrier deliver the items into the house? If not, they will deliver to the kerb (at this point, you take responsibility for the items and must check for damage).
3. Please let me know which shipping method you require from the following options:
a) Standard
b) Standard express
c) Express express
d) Next day
e) Next day before tea time
f) Premium delivery (includes nude delivery driver (male/female) at extra cost)
4. Please provide your delivery address, so I know where to send the goods to.
Once I have this information, I will send you an invoice to your stated email address
Once I have received confirmation from Paypal that I have the funds, I will ship the item to you.
I hope this is acceptable and I wait to hear from you.
Please get in touch soon.
Kind regards,
Andrew

Wendy 8

The latest reply has confused me somewhat. I think they might be trying to figure out how to answer the rest of the questions, but I'll mail them again to point out the highlights. I'm disappointed they didn't go for the Jolly Roger card, as I'm sure there'd have been mileage in it

Hi again Wendy,
Thanks for your agreement to the total cost of £9650.
If you so wish, I have one further item available which would raise the cost to £12,350, but this does not include feed and bedding charges, which we could discuss further if you choose to go ahead.
The items are quite bulky, so you would have to make sure that someone was available to help the delivery driver carry them into your house.
Unfortunately, due to your delay in replying, I'm afraid I've run out of the cat gift cards
and they've been replaced by our new Jolly roger card. Or you could still choose from dog, little boy, little girl or christmas tree cards. Let me know which you'd prefer.
Once I have your delivery address I will send you the invoice.
I understand you would like to pay through paypal, which is acceptable to me.
Please forward payment on receipt of the invoice and I will despatch the goods to you immediately.

Hope you are well and look forward to speaking with you soon.
Many thanks, as always,
Andrew

When I received this one, I was surprised, to say the least.
I advertised a video recorder for twenty quid and now they want to give me nearly ten grand! And they want a cat gift card as well!
I’m still thinking up what to send back to them.
I think I’ve run out of cat gift cards…

"wendy johnson" Hi,
It's ok, the price is £5450, not £5510 - I never over charge.
If you're interested, I could add in the second item I have advertised, but that would bring the total to £9650. Let me know if you're interested.
And this includes transport and shipping. I just need you to send me the following information to allow me to send you the item:
How would you like to pay?
Where would you like me to ship it?
Which gift card would you like? (Dog, cat, little boy, little girl or Christmas Tree)
Who do I make the invoice out to?
Talk to you soon, I hope.
Cheers,
Andrew

Hi Do you still have it for sale?

Gumtree scam

I've been trying to sell a VHS recorder on Gum tree and I had a response that initially seemed fine - but then it looked a bit suspect when I received further correspondence.
I'm going to put the email conversation on here.....
I hope you enjoy it.............

Scammers are fun!

We all hate it - spam that scams!
However, I've discovered a new hobby --scambaiting.
I encourage everyone to do it, it's potentially hours of fun!
I'm going to use this blog to show some scambaiting until I find a better method.
To start with, I'm going to post some stuff I've already done, that you can find elsewhere - so apologies if you've already seen it, but my repertoire is somewhat limited at the moment.
Please offer comments and provide links to your own scambaiting stories..
Cheers,
Andrew
